It's Tolkien's fault. Had he given us more female Elves to work on....
As it is we must deal with what we have - not that we care. :-))
Rating: R/NC-17
Summary: In the wake of Elrond's council solitary Erestor finds a new love ....and an old one returns unexpectedly.
Slight SM, lots of drama and some sex. Be warned and prepared...
Author's note: this is the result of an RPG, so not solely written by me but by Lady Phoenix as well.
Archieve: as long as we know: yes.
Feedback: YESSSSSS! It keeps us going!
Pairing: Erestor/Lindir, Erestor/OMC
"A sweet sight to return to," Daerdion whispered as he closed the door behind him. "I trust you've made good use of this time?" He laughed quietly and shed his clothes before crawling into bed.
Erestor's first impulse was to draw back, then he realized he didn't had to. It was all well the way it was and he and Lindir did not have to hide anything.
"There comes the most generous, kindest, beautiful warrior on Arda!" Erestor reached for Daer and smiled, Lindir still heaped on top of him.
"I have been speaking with your new friend, Lindir," he whispered against the bard's ear. "He has agreed to watch over you while we are gone."
"And am I in need of a baby-sitter?" Lindir returned, his blue eyes challenging and laughing at once.
"Nay... but I do not wish you to worry for us. You do not need protection but rather distraction." Daer pressed a kiss to his youngest husband's lips. "Only for a short time. Isn't that right, 'Restor? How could we long leave him, after all."
"At this moment? Not without great pains - I'm afraid we're glued together." he snickered and gently lowered Lindir between Daer and himself, groping for some cloth to wipe off the remains of their shared passion.
"We shall be back soon, aye." Erestor sought Daer's gaze "I hope you made clear that I am none to share what I consider mine?" not that he doubted Lindir's faithfulness, but he wanted to keep temptation at bay. Contraty to many other elves Erestor did not believe in sharing the body with others. There were exceptions he could think of - long separation would qualify, for example. But long would mean long by elven standards, not a few months. "I wouldn't want him to pester Lindir with futile advances."
Lindir smiled faintly. "Even if he has said nothing, I can speak for myself. I may miss holding someone when I go to bed, but the one I miss will be you," he said firmly to Erestor, "or you," he added with a smile for Daerdion. "My body belongs to you as my heart does, and I will share neither with anyone until you return."
"I know." Erestor whispered softly. If Ivor should lay a hand on Lindir... Erestor was extremely possessive. "Still I wouldn't want him to press on you while your status is not yet made official. I promise that you shall get a proper ceremony as soon as we return! Everybody will understand the haste regarding the graveness of your injury." he considered their actual constellation and smiled: each of them could spend a night in the middle of the trio, thus feeling utterly safe and warm and loved. It seemed on ly fair that Lindir was the one this night.
"I suggest you try and get some rest. You should be exhausted after such a day. At least you could give your elders the impression they did exhaust you."
"And so you have," Lindir agreed with a kiss to Erestor's lips. He seconded it with one for Daerdion, though it was in Erestor's arms that he settled most. "There is no sweeter exhaustion than this, though, and I would not trade it." Still the youngest elf's eyes soon grew heavy and closed.
Daer watched him fall asleep with a quiet smile. "Rest as well, my love, for tomorrow we ride."
"I will in time, love." Erestor nodded assuring. But first he simply watched his two mates sleep for a long while. How this had all turned out to the better still seemed a miracle to the ancient Noldo.
At some point he drifted into sleep and reverie for a few hours. But he was well-enough rested and woke about an hour before they had to leave and again watched the two Sindar. How different they were from each other! Both beautiful in their very own way. Erestor was glad that Daer's face had been almost completely spared from scarring - not that he would bother! But it seemed fair.
And Lindir's delicately chiseled face, those luscious lips, the slanted blue eyes and the ears! Erestor had always thought that the slightly longer Sindarin ears were more beautiful. Ah, that he finally could shamelessly stare at Lindir, without fear of being caught. Erestor sighed softly and reached out for Daer to wake him.
The warrior stirred at once and smiled when he caught his lover's gaze. "Time, then? Yes... we should leave as soon as possible." Reluctantly Daerdion sat up, shifting Lindir a bit in the process.
"Morning already..." Lindir sighed and rose as well. He kissed Daer's lips gently and then turned to Erestor. "You will leave shortly. At least let me see you off."
"Aye. In fact, I insist." Erestor kissed Lindir with a smile. No need to make this a tearful occasion!
He chose to put on all of his armor - including the repaired chain mail. Deft fingers buckled the straps of his wrist guards before the two warriors helped each other with the harder to reach buckles of the armor.
Knives slid into his high boots and eventually he girded his sword.
"Lindir, I want you to take this:" he showed the young one a key. "'Tis the key to my chest over here. You shall find enough money in there so that you will not miss anything while we are gone." Erestor filled his own purse with some coins, both gold and silver, before he closed and locked the chest again, handing the key to the one to be left behind.
He had not too many opportunities to spend the money he earned and he wanted to spoil Lindir.
"I would rather have your arms around me than anything," Lindir answered. He tried to keep the sadness from his voice, to make the words teasing, and failed. "Forgive me... it is only that I will miss you both." Lindir managed to fake a rather convincing smile as he walked with the two warriors down to the courtyard. "You must promise me again to be careful."
The servants had the horses already waiting as Erestor had told them the day before. All silver bells had been taken out of Gil's mane.
Daerdion kissed the bard's forehead and then his lips.
"I swear that I will do all that I can to see us both safely home, young one."
Erestor repeated the gestures before he drew Lindir into a tight hug. "We shall be back soon, and wholly so. I miss you already and cannot imagine to be separated from you for long, beloved. Don't be sad, Lindir. That is an order!" he gently patted Lindir's cheek before he mounted his unbridled gelding. "Good bye, love." he said again, then turned his charger and rode out with Daer following him. He did not turn back for even this short farewell already was hard for him to bear and for a moment he wished Lindir were more of a warrior - only to chide himself for that idea.
